In this multi-part series, we unearth how historic Queensland architecture, environment, climate and lifestyle shape the design direction of the iconic new Cross River Rail underground stations.

Employing strategic storytelling and documentary style filmmaking, we captured in-depth interviews with the key minds behind the massive project’s development and implementation, exploring what inspired the architectural designs – from the simple image of ‘a man under a tree’, to the classic ‘Queenslander’ cottage and discovering what it takes to bring an architectural vision of this scale to life.
