House Histories

There are many reasons someone might want to know the history of a house – it could be simple curiosity, doing the due diligence when buying a property, or a desire to uncover the story of the place they call home.

Irrespective of the reason, for the uninitiated finding the right information can seem like a daunting task and may often be put in the too hard basket because they don’t know where to begin.

We worked with the State Library of Queensland to develop a motion design series designed to spark interest in the history beneath our floorboards, and give our audience the practical tools and methods required to unearth the past story of the home they love.

The series also shines a light on the history of house design in Queensland, helping build the community’s appreciation and passion for house history, and raise the profile of historical Queensland house design along the way.
